An SEO plugin that’s already installed.
SEO titles and meta descriptions with %%variables%%, a focus-keyphrase and readability check, Open Graph and X cards, a schema graph, breadcrumbs, XML sitemaps and robots.txt — in the same places your editors already look.
Bundled with Presscomet · Replaces Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress
What it does, and what it doesn’t.
You get
- The SEO box under every post: focus keyphrase, SEO title, meta description, Google preview, robots and canonical
- Yoast’s own post meta keys, so Yoast data needs no conversion at all
- Rank Math, SEOPress and All in One SEO data converted on migration
- Schema graph (WebSite, Organization or Person, WebPage, Article, BreadcrumbList) and XML sitemaps
Not included
- One focus keyphrase per post (no extra keyphrases or synonyms field)
- No redirect manager inside the SEO plugin — that’s the separate Redirection plugin
- No custom schema builder, local SEO or rank tracking
Choosing an SEO plugin for WordPress
Most SEO plugins do the same core job: write the title tag and meta description from templates, let you override them per post, print Open Graph and schema data, and publish a sitemap. The differences are in the extras — analysis tools, redirects, schema builders, AI writing — and in how much they add to your admin.
Presscomet SEO covers the core job and the analysis box people actually use. If you rely on a paid add-on feature, check the comparison below before you switch.
Is an SEO plugin slowing your site down?
Complaints about SEO plugins being slow are usually about the admin: heavier editor screens, background jobs and database tables that grow with the site. On the front end, the cost is the PHP that builds the head tags on every uncached request.
Public pages on Presscomet are rendered once and served from a built-in page cache until the content changes, so a plugin's work happens at render time, not on every visit. The SEO head tags are part of that cached page.

What moves over automatically.
On migration the SEO importer merges settings from whichever SEO plugins it finds, then converts per-post data into Yoast’s keys, which the plugin reads natively.
Imported

Not imported
- Extra focus keywords: only the first keyword is kept

- All in One SEO 4.x per-post data, which is stored in its own table rather than post meta
- SEO: imported 64 settings.
- SEO: converted 0 post meta values from Rank Math / SEOPress / All in One SEO.

SEO: questions
Does Presscomet SEO work like Yoast SEO?
Closely. It stores post data under Yoast’s meta keys (_yoast_wpseo_title, _yoast_wpseo_metadesc and so on), uses the same %%variable%% syntax for templates and shows a similar SEO box with a Google preview and traffic-light analysis. It is a separate implementation, not Yoast’s code.
Will my rankings change when I switch?
The importer carries over your titles, descriptions, canonicals and noindex flags, and Presscomet keeps your permalinks, so search engines see the same pages with the same tags. Rankings depend on many things, so watch Search Console for a few weeks after any move.
Can I use more than one focus keyphrase?
No. Each post has one focus keyphrase. When Rank Math data with several keywords is imported, the first keyword is kept.
Does it make an XML sitemap?
Yes. The sitemap is served at /wp-sitemap.xml and also at /sitemap_index.xml, and posts you set to noindex are left out.
Can I keep running Yoast SEO instead?
No. Presscomet doesn’t run PHP, so WordPress plugins can’t be installed. The bundled SEO plugin does the job instead, and the migration imports the settings listed above.
Does Presscomet support WooCommerce?
Not today. Presscomet is for content sites — blogs, magazines, business and documentation sites. If your site sells through WooCommerce, it isn’t a fit yet.
