Analytics snippets and a cookieless counter.

Paste a GA4 measurement ID, a Tag Manager container, a Plausible domain or a Fathom site ID, and the snippet goes in. A built-in page-view counter shows visits on the dashboard with no cookies and no third party. Snippets wait for consent when Cookie Consent is on.

What it does, and what it doesn’t.

You get

  • GA4, Tag Manager, Plausible and Fathom
  • Built-in cookieless page views, daily visitors, top pages and referrers
  • Exclude logged-in users, respect Do Not Track
  • Snippets held back until consent

Not included

  • No Google reports inside wp-admin (Search Console, PageSpeed, AdSense)
  • No e-commerce or form-conversion tracking setup

Do you need an analytics plugin at all?

Adding Google Analytics is one script tag. Analytics plugins exist mostly to show reports inside wp-admin and to set up extra tracking, and that is where their weight comes from.

This plugin adds the tag, handles consent and exclusions, and gives you a small built-in chart. For full reports, open your analytics tool directly.

  3. 03

    Review and switch

Open Analytics in the admin menu, and Settings → Analytics to check the imported settings, then point your domain at the new site when you’re happy.

Where to find it: Analytics in the admin menu, and Settings → Analytics.

Analytics: questions

Does the built-in counter use cookies?

No. It counts page views and daily visitors on your own server without cookies or third parties.

Will Google Analytics wait for cookie consent?

Yes. Snippets are marked so the Cookie Consent plugin holds them back until the visitor agrees, and Cookie Consent can send Google Consent Mode v2 signals.

Can I see Search Console data in wp-admin?

No. Open Search Console directly; it isn’t pulled into the admin.

Can I keep running Site Kit by Google instead?

No. Presscomet doesn’t run PHP, so WordPress plugins can’t be installed. The bundled Analytics plugin does the job instead, and the migration imports the settings listed above.

Does Presscomet support WooCommerce?

Not today. Presscomet is for content sites — blogs, magazines, business and documentation sites. If your site sells through WooCommerce, it isn’t a fit yet.
