A cookie banner that actually blocks the scripts.
Accept All, Reject All and Customise with four categories, a revisit button, a consent lifetime and version, Google Consent Mode v2, and prior blocking: scripts and embeds marked with a category don’t run until the visitor agrees.
Bundled with Presscomet · Replaces CookieYes, Complianz, Cookie Notice
What it does, and what it doesn’t.
You get
- Necessary, functional, analytics and marketing categories
- Scripts and iframes blocked until consent
- Google Consent Mode v2 defaults and updates
- Banner, box or blocking pop-up layouts
Not included
- No automatic cookie scanner or cookie declaration table
- No stored consent records, geo-targeting or policy generator
- Not legal advice — you decide what your site needs
A banner is only half of consent
A banner that shows Accept and Reject but loads Google Analytics anyway doesn’t do its job. What matters is that tracking scripts wait for a yes.
Here, the Analytics plugin’s snippets and anything you paste into the Scripts tab are held back by category, and embeds in posts can be marked to wait too.

Cookie Consent: questions
Does it make my site GDPR compliant?
It gives you the tools — a reject option, categories, blocking until consent and a way to change your mind — but compliance depends on your site and jurisdiction. Check with a qualified adviser.
Does it scan my site for cookies?
No. You decide which scripts go in which category. There is no automatic scanner.
Does Google Analytics wait for consent?
Yes. The Analytics plugin’s snippets carry the analytics category and only run after consent, and Consent Mode v2 signals are sent when enabled.
Can I keep running CookieYes instead?
No. Presscomet doesn’t run PHP, so WordPress plugins can’t be installed. The bundled Cookie Consent plugin does the job instead, and the migration imports the settings listed above.
Does Presscomet support WooCommerce?
Not today. Presscomet is for content sites — blogs, magazines, business and documentation sites. If your site sells through WooCommerce, it isn’t a fit yet.
