A WPForms alternative for contact forms.
For contact, quote and enquiry forms, Forms does the job with saved entries, file uploads and an auto-reply included. Your WPForms forms are converted on migration and their [wpforms id] shortcodes keep rendering.
Replaced by the bundled Forms plugin · Included free with Presscomet
Switching from WPForms: the short version.
You get
- Name, text, email, textarea, dropdown, checkboxes, multiple choice, number, slider, phone, URL, date, file upload and GDPR fields converted
- First notification converted with smart tags mapped to mail-tags
- Confirmation message and submit button text
- Entries saved and exportable
Not included
- No drag-and-drop builder, conditional logic, multi-page forms, payments, surveys or form templates
- Only the first notification and confirmation are converted
- Existing WPForms entries aren’t imported
When Forms is enough — and when it isn’t
Most WPForms sites use one or two contact forms. For those, Forms covers fields, validation, notifications, an auto-reply, uploads, spam checks and an entries inbox.
If you rely on conditional logic, payments, multi-page forms or integrations with CRMs and email platforms, keep a dedicated form service — Forms is deliberately simpler.
WPForms not sending notifications?
As with any WordPress form, notifications fail when the server sends mail without authentication. The fix is SMTP. It’s bundled here, with a test email and a 30-day log, and entries are always saved so you can follow up.

WPForms alternative: questions
Will my [wpforms] shortcodes break?
No. Converted forms keep the original WPForms ID as an alias, so [wpforms id="…"] keeps rendering the new form.
Are my old WPForms entries imported?
No. Export them from WPForms before you move if you need them. New entries are saved from day one.
Does it support conditional logic?
No. If your forms depend on it, keep a dedicated form service for those forms.
Can I keep running WPForms instead?
No. Presscomet doesn’t run PHP, so WordPress plugins can’t be installed. The bundled Forms plugin does the job instead, and the migration imports the settings listed above.
Does Presscomet support WooCommerce?
Not today. Presscomet is for content sites — blogs, magazines, business and documentation sites. If your site sells through WooCommerce, it isn’t a fit yet.
